Appen är helt baserad på boken Ingredienslexikon utgiven av Celiakiförbundet och Gothia Fortbildning. Appen använder förlagan som den officiella källan och omfattar samtliga 1098 livsmedel från 2012 års utgåva. Precis som i boken kan man genom appens omfattande lista snabbt och enkelt slå upp ingredienser, tillsatser och beteckningar som rör mat och livsmedel. Smart funktionalitet har lagts till: en sökfunktion hjälper dig att hitta det du letar efter, eller filtrerar listan enligt din anpassade profil. Till varje uppslagsord ges en förklaring och eventuell funktion. Du får också information om ingrediensen och om den innehåller gluten, laktos, mjölk- eller sojaprotein.
Appen är säker och enkel; ingen information skickas vidare, profiler och sökningar görs endast i din telefon och det behövs inte någon internetuppkoppling för användning.

Ingredienslexikon är utvecklad av företaget Trygg Mat i samarbete med Celiakiförbundet och Gothia Fortbildning.
