Açıklama
Ο κύριος στόχος της εφαρμογής Spot a Stray είναι η καταγραφή όλων των αδέσποτων (αλλά και χαμένων) σκύλων στην Ελλάδα που θα οδηγήσει μέσω της κατάλληλης διαδικασίας στην οριστική απομάκρυνσή τους από το δρόμο. Λαμβάνοντας υπόψη το γεγονός πως οι νέες γενιές στη χώρα είναι περισσότερο ευαισθητοποιημένες όσον αφορά την αντιμετώπιση των αδέσποτων ζώων, πιστεύουμε πως η εφαρμογή θα αποτελέσει έναν πολύ δυνατό σύμμαχο στον αγώνα που κάνουν Μ.Κ.Ο., φιλοζωικές οργανώσεις, κτηνίατροι και το ελληνικό κράτος εν γένει.
Η εφαρμογή θα επιτρέπει στον χρήστη να:
• Αναρτά (post) τη φωτογραφία ενός αδέσποτου σκύλου που είδε στο δρόμο, να προσθέσει τα χαρακτηριστικά του καθώς και να επικοινωνήσει με άλλους χρήστες μέσω σχολίων.
• Περιηγηθεί στο δυναμικό χάρτη του Spot a Stray για να βρει αδέσποτα (ή χαμένα σκυλιά) στην περιοχή του (ή και σε οποιοδήποτε μέρος της Ελλάδας) μέσω διαφόρων φίλτρων (μέγεθος, ράτσα, χρώμα, φύλο).
• Έχει άμεση πρόσβαση στα στοιχεία επικοινωνίας των κοντινότερων κλινικών ζώων, κτηνιατρείων, φιλοζωικών οργανώσεων και αρμόδιων υπηρεσιών των Δήμων.
• Λαμβάνει ειδοποιήσεις για αδέσποτα (ή χαμένα) σκυλιά στην περιοχή του, όπως επίσης και να ακολουθεί αναρτήσεις που τον ενδιαφέρουν.
• Έχει πρόσβαση σε χρήσιμα άρθρα για τον καλύτερο φίλο του ανθρώπου και τη σχέση μας μαζί του μέσα από το blog του Spot a Stray.
Πιστεύουμε πως το πιο χαρακτηριστικό γνώρισμα του πολιτισμού μιας κοινωνίας είναι η συμπεριφορά απέναντι στους πιο αδύναμους· και δεν υπάρχουν πιο αδύναμα πλάσματα από τα αδέσποτα ζώα. Καθώς δεν μπορούμε να αποκωδικοποιήσουμε τη φωνή τους, μπορούμε να σταθούμε στο πλευρό τους και όλων όσοι συντάσσονται σε αυτόν τον αγώνα.
