Socks5 VPN is a decentralized VPN and SOCKS5 proxy client that routes your traffic through a peer‑to‑peer (P2P) network instead of a single company’s servers. Built on libp2p, it helps you protect privacy, reduce reliance on centralized VPN providers, and stay resilient when traditional VPN endpoints are blocked or overloaded.
KEY FEATURES
• Decentralized P2P networking — discover and connect to community nodes via DHT and mDNS, with NAT traversal, relay, and hole punching for real‑world networks (home Wi‑Fi, mobile data, hotel hotspots).
• Encrypted VPN tunnel — end‑to‑end protection for your sessions with modern cryptography, session hardening, and design choices aimed at safer transit across untrusted peers.
• SOCKS5 proxy — standards‑based SOCKS5 support for apps and workflows that need a local proxy; ideal for developers and power users who want SOCKS5 alongside a VPN‑style tunnel.
• Split tunneling — send only selected apps, domains, IP ranges, or CIDRs through the tunnel while keeping banking, LAN, or latency‑sensitive traffic on the direct route.
