EGK HCMC Map
The EGK HCMC Map Android app is a cutting-edge mobile application designed to enhance your travel experience on the Ho Chi Minh City Metro, specifically tailored for Line 1, which features 14 stations from Ben Thanh to Suoi Tien. Built in sync with the metro’s operating schedule, the app supports daily service from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM, with trains arriving every 4.5 minutes, ensuring smooth and reliable trip planning. Key Features
Interactive Map
The app includes a dynamic, vertically oriented metro map displaying all 14 Line 1 stations. Users can pinch to zoom, drag to pan, and explore stations such as Ben Thanh, Opera House, and Suoi Tien. The metro line is shown in blue, with clearly marked station nodes for easy readability.

Route Planning
Plan journeys by selecting “From” and “To” stations from a searchable list. The app uses a Breadth-First Search (BFS) algorithm to compute the shortest route and highlights the path in yellow on the map. Fare estimates are calculated using a 7,000 VND base fare plus 400 VND per station segment.

Nearby Stations
Using Android location services, the app detects metro stations within a 5 km radius and updates results in real time as you move—ideal for quick, on-the-go navigation.

Operational Details
The app clearly displays Line 1 operating hours (5:00 AM–11:30 PM) and train frequency (every 4.5 minutes), helping users plan trips within service windows.

User-Friendly Android Interface
Developed using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, the app features a modern Android UI with a scrollable layout, integrated map view, route planner, station details panel, and a full-screen map mode for detailed exploration.

Real-Time Ready Architecture
