Kindred
Kindred connects you with your neighbours to give, lend, and share everyday items — for free. No money, no marketplace fees, no shipping. Just local generosity, close to home.

Got a slow cooker gathering dust? Kids' clothes they've outgrown? A box of feijoas the tree won't stop making? Give them to someone nearby who needs them. Need something but don't want to buy new? Just ask — someone a few doors down probably has it.

Kindred is built for real New Zealand neighbourhoods, and everything is sorted by how close it is to you.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Give & ask — post what you're giving away or looking for, free. Nearby neighbours see it first.
• Ask for a hand — need help with a task, a lift or a quick job? Nearby neighbours get notified.
• Find local support — a map of foodbanks, op shops, budgeting, housing, health and family services near you, with one-tap directions and call.
• Free helplines — every free NZ support line, one tap to call.

SAFE BY DESIGN
• Verified neighbours — new members confirm their email and home address before they can post, message or make offers.
• A GPS-verified address badge for extra trust.
• Every listing, photo and message is automatically screened.
• Rate every exchange — reliability scores help you deal with people you can trust.
• Report or block anyone in a tap.

SMART & FAIR
• Smart matching quietly lines up your "gives" with nearby neighbours' "needs".
• When several people want the same item, you see them ranked fairly — by reliability, distance and verification — so you can choose with confidence.

EARN KINDNESS POINTS
• Every good turn earns Kindness Points. Climb the tiers and see who's most generous on your suburb leaderboard.

FREE — WITH AN OPTIONAL SUPPORTER TIER
Kindred is free, forever. Kindred Supporter is an optional subscription for people who want to back the mission — double Kindness Points, unlimited smart matches, no daily listing cap, and a Supporter badge. The core app stays fully free without it.

Kindred is for ages 18 and over.
