Beschrijving
Seal It Off is a calm, turn-based puzzle game on a hexagonal sand island. A pond sits somewhere in the middle, and every turn it spreads into every neighbouring hex you have not walled off. At the start of each turn you're dealt three small wall pieces — drag them onto the honeycomb and cut off the water's path. The moment the flood can no longer reach a single house, the town is safe and the level is won.
No timer. No move limit. No confirm button. Nothing counts down except the water.
HOW TO PLAY
• Three wall pieces every turn: usually two singles and a pair, occasionally a three-hex piece. Pieces arrive in a fixed orientation — the shape you are dealt is part of the puzzle. • Drag a piece onto the sand to build. Walls are permanent and watertight. • Your hand is the budget. Empty hand, turn over — nothing to press. • Rocks are free walls already standing on the island. Coastline holds water for nothing, so let the sea do half the work. • Houses can't be built on. They are your lives. • The first house you lose is free: the town shrinks and play continues. The second ends the level. A single misplaced piece never throws away a whole board.
HAZARDS
• FISSURES — a marked hex cracks one turn before it goes, then becomes water in the middle of your board. You cannot wall the fissure itself. You have to enclose it, and with six sides to close that ring can eat most of a turn. • ICE — it blocks water like rock, but the number on it drops every turn. At zero the hex turns to water. A free wall now and a flood later, with the deadline visible from turn one. • MERGING PONDS, NARROW NECKS AND SIEGES — boards where two ponds join if you leave them, where cutting a crossing beats cutting the water, and where the town is surrounded and the whole puzzle reads in reverse.
45 ISLANDS, HAND-DESIGNED AND PROVEN SOLVABLE
Every island is drawn by hand — no procedural generation, no filler. Each board is then machine-verified to prove it is solvable and to measure exactly how much wall the solution needs. If a level feels like it comes down to your last piece, it's because it does.
