Enter a domain and Mailscope breaks down the four records that matter:
• SPF — who may send mail as you; it warns about a too-soft policy, the dangerous "+all", and exceeding the 10 DNS-lookup limit.
• DKIM — whether your mail is cryptographically signed; it probes common selectors or the one you enter.
• DMARC — what receivers do with forgeries; it tells monitoring-only (p=none) apart from real protection (quarantine/reject).
• MX — whether the domain receives mail and through which servers.
What sets Mailscope apart is not a dump of records but a plain-language explanation: what is wrong and why it matters. Checks run over DNS-over-HTTPS and work on any network.
VIEW FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY (uses VPN)
Mailscope can query the same records through a server in another country and knock on the mail server's port 25 from here and from there. This shows whether DNS answers differ by region and whether port 25 is blocked by your network or by the server.
This feature uses Android VpnService. You add your own server key (vless://) or a subscription link from your provider — Mailscope has no servers of its own. While the tunnel is on, all of the phone's traffic goes encrypted to that server. The tunnel is off by default, turned on only by you after a disclosure screen, and can be turned off in the app or in Android settings.
The domains you check and your keys stay on your device. The app sends anonymous usage and crash statistics (Google Firebase) and install attribution (AppsFlyer).
