ভগবদ্গীতা (ভগবানের গান) বা শ্রীমদ্ভগবদ্গীতা বা গীতা একটি ৭০০ শ্লোকের ধর্মগ্রন্থ। এটি প্রাচীন সংস্কৃত মহাকাব্য মহাভারত-এর একটি অংশ। যদিও গীতা একটি স্বতন্ত্র ধর্মগ্রন্থ তথা একটি পৃথক উপনিষদের মর্যাদা পেয়ে থাকে। গীতাকে মূলত ভগবানের মুখনিঃসৃত বাণী বলে মনে করা হয়। ধর্ম, দর্শন ও সাহিত্যের ইতিহাসে গীতা এক বিশেষ স্থানের অধিকারী। গীতার কথক শ্রীকৃষ্ণ ঈশ্বরের অবতার পরমাত্মা স্বয়ং। তাই গীতায় তাকে বলা হয়েছে.
Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is knowledge of five basic truths and the relationship of each truth to the other: These five truths are Krishna, or God, the individual soul, the material world, action in this world, and time. The Gita lucidly explains the nature of consciousness, the self, and the universe. It is the essence of India's spiritual wisdom.

It is the divine discourse spoken by the Supreme Lord Krishna Himself and the most popular and well known of all the sacred scriptures from ancient India. This is because proficiency in the Bhagavad Gita reveals the eternal principles which are fundamental and essential for spiritual life from all perspectives and allows one to perfectly understand the esoteric truths hidden within all religious scriptures. The primary purpose of the Bhagavad Gita is to illuminate for all of humanity the realization of the true nature of divinity; for the highest spiritual conception and the greatest material perfection is to attain love of God!
