About Durood e Akbar:
Darood Sharif, also known as Salawat, is a prayer recited to seek blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is a way of showing love, respect, and gratitude towards the Messenger of Allah. Muslims recite Darood Sharif in various forms, each carrying its own blessings. According to Wikipedia Salawat (Arabic: صَلَوَات, romanized: ṣalawāt; sg. صَلَاة, ṣalāh) or durood (Urdu: دُرُوْد) is an Islamic complimentary Arabic phrase which contains veneration for Muhammad. This phrase is usually expressed by Muslims as part of their five daily prayers (usually during the tashahhud) and also when Muhammad's name is mentioned.
Durood Akbar is recited to show spiritual love and reverence to Hazrat Mohammad SAW. It is a source of divine connection with Allah and His prophet SAW. It is recited to stay blessed by Allah and get huge rewards on the day of judgment. This Darood is called Darood Akbar because it’s long and contains all the beautiful sifaat (Exalted Qualities) of prophet Mohammad SAW.
