Do you plan to go on Safari in Southern or Eastern Africa? Then this is the app for you. The Golden SAFARI Guide helps you to identify 544 animal species typically encountered when on Safari. It encompasses mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibia, and various invertebrates. With the intuitive user interface and many helpful and interesting features the app addresses the generally interested nature lover as well as the expert!
The GOLDEN Safari Guide offers the following:
- Full species account for more than 544 animals
- 1176 high quality images
- 368 animal calls including spectrograms
- Animal names in 7 languages: English, Afrikaans, French, Spanish, German, Latin, and Kiswahili
- Choose your region from 8 countries
- Use the compare mode to display different species
- Compare similar species
- Create sighting lists on a map via GPS and sort by place, date, group, and name
- Make notes for each animal spotted
- Export your sightings via email
- Choose from 3 different display modes:
-> “A–Z View” lists all species alphabetically
-> “Category View” lists all animals by clustering related taxa
-> The "Gallery View" groups all related species in pictorial categories
The "The Golden SAFARI Guide" is produced by SUNBIRD IMAGES. It is part of the “GOLD LABEL” series. The apps of the GOLD LABEL series are characterized by a large amount of content exceeding the RED and the BLUE LABEL apps by covering a vast abundance of species of large transnational regions in full detail. All the species included in our apps are described in detail and illustrated as a complete species account.
Information encompasses appearance, identification and possibilities of confusion with other species, ecology, habitat, hazardousness, conservation status, and abundance. The app describes in detail 544 animal species with a total of 1176 high quality images and 368 animal sounds. You can choose from 8 countries and the species names can be displayed in 7 different languages. Every species can also be saved as a sighting. The sighting feature comes in very handy when you want to tick off the species seen in each country to complete your final Safari list.
Once downloaded no internet connection is needed – just download the app and enjoy your Safari! The app will continuously be developed further. All updates are free of charge.
