描述
Die Archäologische Freilichtanlage Funkenburg - die deutschlandweit einmalige Rekonstruktion einer frühgeschichtlichen Wehrsiedlung - befindet sich auf einem an drei Seiten steil abfallenden Bergsporn am Ortsrand von Westgreußen.
Der ASB Kreisverband Sömmerda e.V. ist seit 2012 Träger der Funkenburg und betreibt diese gemeinsam mit dem Funkenburg Westgreußen e.V. Durch ehren- und hauptamtliches Engagement finden auf der Funkenburg jährlich viele interessante Veranstaltungen statt.
An diesem Lernort kann Geschichte in unterschiedlichen Formen hautnah erlebt werden. Eine Variante des Erlebens ist die Führung mittels App und Beacon-Technologie.
Mit Beacon wird ein Sender oder Empfänger bezeichnet, der auf der Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) oder auch Bluetooth Smart Technologie basiert. Im Grunde genommen ist dies eine Funktechnologie, die als Weiterentwicklung von Bluetooth verstanden werden kann.
Hierzu laden sich die Besucher im Netz (unterwegs oder an der Rezeption) die App kostenlos auf ihr eigenes Handy runter und lassen sich über das Gelände führen. Die Ausstellungsstücke sind überwiegend rekonstruierte Bauten, deren architektonischen Eigenheiten der jeweiligen Ausgrabungszeit entsprechen. An jedem Ausstellungsstück wurde ein Funkfeuer angebracht, das in einem Aktionsradius von ca. 1,5 m den Besuchern die entsprechenden Informationen liefert.
Auf diese Art kann man in die Vergangenheit eintauchen und erahnen, wie unsere Vorfahren vor mehreren tausend Jahren gelebt haben.
Dank der App können unsere Besucher die Funkenburg nicht nur so frei wie möglich erleben, sondern sie auch bei eventuellen Kontaktbeschränkungen aufsuchen.
