描述
Hiperkitap, basılı ortamdaki kitapların dijitalleştirilerek bir sistematik dahilinde e-kütüphane platformuna aktarılması ile oluşturulan; otomatik bilgilendirme, ödünç alma, özel kitaplık oluşturma, not alma ve bilimsel yazım gibi birçok özelliği bir arada bulunduran ulusal ve uluslararası kütüphane sistemleriyle uyumlu bir Dijital Kütüphanedir. Hiperkitap Kurumsal Abonelik sistemiyle çalışır. Abone olan kurumlar üzerinden erişim sağlanmaktadır.
Hiperkitap’ta dil-edebiyat, tarih, felsefe, psikoloji, hukuk, bilgisayar, çevre, kişisel gelişim, mühendislik-teknoloji, ekonomi-finans, tıp ve işletme gibi 28 temel konu başlığında 300 yayıneyinin 17.000’den fazla Türkçe içerikli e-kitabı bulunmakta ve bu sayı hergün artmaya devam etmektedir.
Günümüzde Türkiye’de ve Dünyada 100’den fazla üniversite, onlarca kültür merkezi ve kolej’de bir milyona yakın kullanıcısı bulunan Hiperkitap, herkesin eşit ve adil bir şekilde kültür hizmeti almasını sağlayarak bölgeler arasındaki dijital uçurumu kaldırılmayı, engelliler için engelsiz e-kütüphane sunmayı, kültür varlıklarını koruyup gelecek kuşaklara ulaşmasını sağlamayı ve Türkçe içerikli kaynakların akademik çalışmalarda daha fazla atıf almasına katkı sağlayarak ülkemize katma değer oluşturmaktayı amaçlamaktadır.
Ayrıca Hiperkitap dijital kütüphane platformunda kullanıcılar şahsa özel “e-kütüphanem” hesabını oluşturarak;

· Yayınları belli süreler ile ödünç alabilir,
· Yayınlar üzerinde not alabilir ve önemli görülen yerlerin altını çizebilir,
· Telif haklarına uygun olarak paylaşabilir,
· Mobil cihazlarında ödünç aldıkları yayınlara offline (çevrimdışı) ortamda ulaşabilirler.
