The Catch and The Hatch app is the best fly fishing app on the market and includes our BUG ID tool, which helps you match the hatch in seconds to any bug you find while on the river fly fishing. It also provides access to our online courses for existing customers and the ability to purchase them through the app, even offline with immediate access. Use our app to become a better fly fisherman and always know the right flies to use.
Features Include:
1- BUG ID Tool - Identify any insect in seconds. 5 steps or less and the app will provide fly recommendations based on the bug selected.
2- Fly Fishing Courses - catch more fish and take your fly fishing to the next level. Our online fly fishing courses are available on any device and can we taken offline on the river or around the campfire while you adventure.
3- Fly Shop in Your Pocket - Over 5,000 flies and assortments including access to some gear and our online courses, you can purchase anywhere you bring the app. Offline purchases are stored in a queue until you get online.
4- Purchase on the River - See the gaps in your fly box and purchase the missing flies right there on the river, we'll hand-tie them and ship them directly to your door (free shipping always)
Fly fishing can be hard enough without having to struggle to understand what the trout are eating. With the BUG ID tool, you find a bug on the river, and answer 5 quick questions or less to narrow down your results. Match the hatch by matching the bug to the available pictures and choose the insect that best matches. Then, browse through the content to see our recommended flies to use, insect lifecycles and fly fishing entomology related seasonality and insect behaviors so you can learn the essential info you need to match a fly in your box to the one trout want to eat.
Once you download the app, leave it open for a few until the offline data download shows complete. Then you are ready to get out on the river and identify insects, match them to flies and catch more trout.
This app works for any river that has trout and is an essential tool for any angler.
