By moving, scanning your environment, and completing optional activities, you help support the development of a decentralized, IoT-focused infrastructure built around real-world participation.
📡 Contribute to the IOTY Network
IOTY relies on community participation to enrich its network. When enabled, the app can use approximate location and Wi-Fi signal detection to identify nearby radio signals relevant to network contribution. These features are optional, can be enabled or disabled at any time, and are used solely to support the core functionality of the app. IOTY does not perform continuous background tracking.
📊 Track your contribution
Your activity in the app generates contribution points and in-app rewards, reflecting your level of participation. Contributions may include:
- daily activity
- presence in designated activity areas
- enabled app features
- completed optional activities
- referrals of new active contributors
- leaderboard progression
Contribution points and rewards are non-monetary at the time they are earned.
They are used within the app to display progress, unlock features, and highlight engagement. They do not represent guaranteed financial value, income, salary, or compensation for work performed.
🎯 Complete optional activities
IOTY offers optional activities designed to encourage engagement and community growth, such as:
- sharing information about the project
- inviting friends to become active contributors
- exploring specific geographic zones
- enabling contribution-related app features
Each activity increases your contribution score and in-app rewards. Participation in all activities is fully optional.
🏆 Leaderboard & community visibility
Your activity influences your position on the leaderboard. Leaderboards are intended to:
- highlight community engagement
- recognize active contributors
- encourage participation
They do not provide financial ranking or monetary rewards.
🗺️ Activity zones
The app may notify you when you enter an area with increased network activity potential. These notifications are based on approximate location and are designed to help contributors participate more actively. They do not involve precise or continuous location tracking.

Optional notifications can be enabled to:
- stay informed about app activity
- discover new optional activities
- track weekly contribution progress
All notifications can be managed or disabled at any time in the app or device settings.
🔐 Privacy & data usage
IOTY collects limited technical and location-related data strictly necessary for app functionality. Data is:
- minimized where possible
- processed securely
- never sold to third parties
Users retain full control over permissions and participation.
