Descrição
Auf gut ausgeschilderten Wegen und speziellen Themenpfaden spaziert man durch den Wald und entdeckt dabei die Vielfalt der Vegetationszonen. Es gibt Informationsstellen und Führungen, um mehr über die verschiedenen Baumarten und deren ökologische Ansprüche zu erfahren.
Neben der botanischen Bildung ist der Weltwald ein Freizeit- und Erholungsgelände für die gesamte Familie mit Wiesen und Gewässern, Spielplätzen und Kunstausstellungen.
Die kostenlose Weltwald App für Android-Smartphones sowie für Apple-iPhones unterstützt dabei die Erkundung dieses Arboretums und Freizeitgeländes im Kranzberger Forst.
Funktionen der App
Die App beinhaltet eine Kartenansicht mit offline verfügbaren Geodaten in Form einer Grundkarte und verschiedenen Feature-Layer für die Weltwald-Thematik. Orientieren Sie sich im Gelände anhand Ihrer GPS-Position und finden Sie über das Wegenetz zu denjenigen Pflanzparzellen und Erholungseinrichtungen, die Sie interessieren. Die Suchfunktion ermöglicht die Eingabe von deutschen Artnamen oder lateinischen Spezies der gesuchten Baumart mit Autovervollständigung im Eingabefeld. Die gefundenen Pflanzparzellen werden in der Karte selektiert und durch Auto-Zoom positioniert. Das Antippen der Informationspunkte zu den Pflanzparzellen ruft ein Popup-Fenster mit Detailinformationen auf, worin auch eine Verlinkung zu externen Webseiten mit weiterführenden Informationen zur jeweiligen Gehölzart genutzt werden kann.
Die Funktionalität der mobilen App entspricht weitgehend der interaktiven Arboretum-Karte auf der Startseite der Weltwald-Website. Die verwendete Kartensymbolik wird in einer Legende erläutert.
