Equilibrease
Equilibrease is a comprehensive mobile application designed to empower patients with resources and tools for managing their healthcare journey, particularly focusing on vertigo and related balance conditions. Built using Flutter, it integrates a PHP backend with MySQL database support, ensuring smooth data handling and a responsive interface. The application enables users to securely log in and access personalized dashboards, where they can view educational content like exercise videos and informative articles tailored to help manage their condition. Each exercise video is provided in multiple languages (English, Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil) with optional captions to enhance accessibility.
Key features of Equilibrease include an interactive Explore Videos page for browsing various exercises and a FeedbackScreen where patients can submit detailed feedback on exercises or videos. This feedback data is stored in the database for future reference and allows doctors to assess patient progress and challenges. To support patient-doctor communication, the app includes a Doctor Dashboard where doctors can view patient comments, track submitted feedback, and send replies. Notifications inform patients when they receive responses, ensuring a continuous feedback loop.
The navigation between screens is seamless, facilitated by React Navigation. Specific screens include the Patient Dashboard (displaying videos and articles as organized cards within containers), DoctorRepliesScreen, PatientProfileEdit, and FeedbackScreen. Patient-specific data such as profile information, feedback history, and progress tracking are fetched and displayed using Axios requests, enhancing the app’s dynamic data flow. For authentication, Equilibrease uses a login system for both patients and doctors, pulling details from MySQL and PHP backend scripts.
In addition to patient-focused content, Equilibrease’s DoctorLogin allows medical professionals to securely access patient feedback, thus fostering improved communication and care continuity. Notifications regarding patient responses to exercises appear as badges, and doctors can reply through the app to encourage patient adherence. Furthermore, each patient’s notification count is dynamically displayed on their dashboard, enhancing engagement and responsiveness to doctor interactions.
Equilibrease is built with scalability in mind, enabling additional functionalities as needed, such as adding a guest dashboard for prospective users to explore the app’s capabilities without logging in. The app also incorporates video search filters, which enable patients to find exercises based on specific criteria, helping them engage more effectively with their treatment plan.
With Equilibrease, patients and doctors have a streamlined and accessible platform for interactive, feedback-driven healthcare management, bringing simplicity and ease to balance health management.
