Dynamic Island is a feature that Apple introduced with the arrival of the pill-shaped notch on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
- What is the Dynamic Island Notch Feature?
The purpose of the feature is to show useful information, like when the AirPods are connected or when the device is charging. It will show a tiny thumbnail of the album art from Music when it is being used or when the do-not-disturb mode is turned ON with iOS 18 Call Screen and iOS 18 Launcher.
These icons look like they are growing from either side of the screen. The animations look very smooth because the pixels match the black sensors. But Dynamic Island can also grow to fit the more comprehensive screen of your device. For example, a banner that sticks out from the sensors shows incoming calls and a stopwatch running.
It is possible to utilize it to raise the volume and for charging percentages. You need two clicks to capture a screenshot, browse the settings, or do anything else. The application displays a dynamic view, making the smartphone’s notch more user-friendly and valuable. Using Dynamic Island will give your front-facing camera a livelier appearance. While playing songs, the information about the tracks will appear on your screen because of Dynamic Island. Pressing the Pause, Next, and Previous buttons will also give you control over it.
On the Dynamic Islands iOS 18 Notch view, examining the alerts and taking the necessary actions is simple. Taking a screenshot, locking the screen, and lowering the volume may all be accomplished by swiping. You may also perform these tasks inside the Menu layout shown on a Dynamic Island.
