Privacy
Menthal was developed as a study at the University of Bonn and is continued by the same team at the University of Marburg and Murmuras GmbH. The app processes all data in a GDPR-compliant manner on German servers, and meets high data protection and ethical requirements.
Menthal does not record any personal content from emails, SMS, chat messengers or private social media data. Of course, it also does not record account information or passwords, or who you chat or telephone with.
This app uses Accessibility services. Menthal uses this permission with the active consent of the end-user according to the study in which they are enrolled. The Accessibility Service API is used for retrieving window content and device interaction in order to analyze app usage and user behavior.
Scientific study design
When do you pick up your cell phone in the morning? What are your favorite apps? Which companies pay money to get your attention?
Menthal shows you how your mood develops over time with a mood diary. Psychological questionnaires scientifically measure your personality traits. Find out how extroverted, sensitive, or efficient you are. You can choose not to answer these questions or customize them in the app settings.
