What is SEPIA?
SEPIA is a personal, digital assistant and daily companion that helps you organize your everyday life, finds information, entertains you and can control your smart home. The SEPIA app is operated via a voice interface for natural language or conventionally via touch, text & swipe (in case you can't speak right now). Inside the app you can create your own, powerful voice commands and UI-buttons. In combination with many available 'skins' (look of the app) you can make SEPIA a truly individual experience.
Your own, smart control HUB for your home
Another special feature of SEPIA is that it respects your privacy by storing all data on your own SEPIA home server. The server runs on all popular systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), is 100% open-source (free) and can be extended with smart services and applications by you or the community. The installation usually doesn't take longer than 5-10 minutes (see below).
What else is SEPIA?
The SEPIA App is part of the open-source SEPIA Framework, which was created to connect all kinds of devices (mobile phones, PCs, web browsers, loudspeakers, Raspberry PIs, IoT devices, robots etc.) and to equip them with a voice interface. It is a powerful tool for programmers, makers and DIY enthusiasts that want to add new capabilities to their projects while staying in their own private network/ecosystem. Because all components can be individually adapted, there are no limits to your imagination.

Do I need a digital assistant?
Of course everyone has to decide for themselves, but when used correctly they make life easier and are fun at the same time! :-) Here are a few examples to inspire you:

PLEASE NOTE:
To be fully functional this app needs its own SEPIA Server! The server runs on every common operating system, is available as Docker container and can be installed quickly (5-10min, recommended: Raspberry Pi). A detailed description can be found here:
