DNS Changer by Protectstar™ is a lightweight Android app that lets you switch DNS servers on your phone or tablet in just a few taps. Use fast, privacy‑friendly DNS on Wi‑Fi and mobile data, improve loading times, help reduce ping and lag in many online games and use DNS services that can filter many advertising, tracking and malicious domains at DNS level – all without root access or complicated network settings.

• Family‑oriented DNS profiles can help block adult websites, gambling pages and other categories that are not suitable for children.
• Filtering happens at DNS level, so protection applies to the whole device – all apps and browsers – with one central setting.
PRO features and technical details
• Per‑app control: choose which apps should use DNS Changer and which should keep the system default DNS (PRO).
• Advanced DNS logs and a WHOIS tool with map view help you analyse traffic and detect suspicious or unwanted domains (PRO).
• Create custom DNS profiles for gaming, work, streaming or family and switch quickly between them as needed (PRO).
• DNS Changer uses Android’s VpnService API to create a local VPN interface and change only the DNS server address used by your device. It is not a full VPN service: your traffic is not tunnelled through remote VPN servers and your public IP address does not change. The app does not store your browsing history or sell your data; PRO features are offered as an optional in‑app subscription so you can have more control over DNS settings while keeping your connection fast and stable.
