To work, you need to install the client on macOS. You can download it from https://droid2mac.com
Just install the Droid2Mac client on your Android phone and on your Mac, then scan the QR code — setup takes less than a minute. For remote access, Droid2Mac uses a direct P2P connection established through cloud infrastructure, with traffic fully encrypted and no data stored on third-party servers.
Key features for integrating Android with macOS:
- Call handling on Mac: get incoming call notifications on your Mac, manage calls, and view call history without picking up your phone.
- Messaging from your computer: read and send messages from your Mac, keep your conversations in sync, and reply to group chats directly from the desktop.
- Instant notifications: receive notifications from messengers, email, and other apps on your Mac with minimal delay, quickly reply when needed, or mute distracting apps.
- Android-Mac file manager: browse your Android file system, quickly transfer files and folders, and download documents and media to your Mac.
- Photo sync and management: access your entire phone gallery from your Mac, view photos in high quality, browse by date and albums, and import selected photos and videos for editing or backup.
- Fast file transfer from Android to Mac: simply choose a file on your Android device, tap Share, select Droid2Mac, and the file will be sent instantly to your connected computer.
- Screen mirroring and control: mirror your Android screen to your Mac and control your phone with your keyboard and mouse — perfect for demos, presentations, and working with mobile apps on a larger display.
Connection modes:
- Local Wi-Fi: connect devices in the same network with no cables and no cloud storage involved.
- Cloud P2P: establish a secure, direct P2P connection over the internet when your devices are on different networks (for example, your phone on mobile data and your Mac at home or in the office).
Core features are available for free, including device pairing, notification sync, and basic device access; advanced capabilities are unlocked with a Premium subscription. Droid2Mac is built with a strong focus on security and privacy, using encryption and minimizing stored information at every step.
Requirements: Android 8.0+ and macOS 14.5+ with Wi-Fi or internet access for cloud P2P mode. Install Droid2Mac, set up Android-Mac sync in minutes, and control your smartphone directly from your Mac to stay focused and productive across all your devices.
The app uses an accessibility service (AccessibilityService) to process notifications and manage them from your computer. The accessibility service is required to correctly receive notification content and action buttons displayed on the screen and relay them to your Mac. The app does not use this access to read data from other apps beyond what is necessary for Droid2Mac’s features and does not perform any hidden actions on behalf of the user.
