In terms of external design, Huawei watches lack uniformity as a whole. When contrasting the Watch GT 4 models with the bulky, square, plastic casings of the gimmicky Huawei Watch Buds and Huawei Watch D, the difference is stark.
The functionality of the Huawei Watch GT 4 heavily relies on the Huawei Health app. Notably, this app is not accessible through the iOS or Google Play store but can be easily acquired via a web browser and the provided QR code. Once installed, users can personalize watch faces, manage notification preferences, and delve into detailed health data. The Huawei Health app excels in delivering comprehensive information and actionable insights into workout and sleep metrics.
Throughout my testing of the Huawei Watch GT 4, the battery life met expectations. Over a five-day period, the watch's battery depleted by five to 10 percent daily, contingent on GPS usage. I am pleased with the watch's ability to live up to its bold claim of a 14-day battery life, with the average user likely to achieve 10 days, even with occasional GPS workouts.
From a technical perspective, Huawei has engineered an impressive timepiece. It stands out as a visually stunning powerhouse reminiscent of a high-end dive watch. Its speed, rich feature set, and accurate tracking contribute to its overall appeal and utility.
