Use the app to track your own adventures or view other trackers out in the wild hiking, running, jogging, bicycling, boating,kayaking, road-tripping, motorcycle riding etc. It’s a great tool for yourselves to record your routes, take photos, send messages and let others interact with your adventures. During christmas Santa frequently use the app for santa-tracking.
Knowing that your loved ones can follow your position and know where you are is a great safety aspect. The app is great to use while you walk, run, jog, ride, go backpacking, hike, climb mountains, ski through landscapes, paddle, swim, paragliding, hang-gliding or even when flying in a small plane.
The app gives you duration, distance, speed and altitude as well as your exact position and track lines on a map while tracking. Your position is only tracked when a track has been set up and started and lasts until you stop it.
Tracks are only identified using a track title and an alias (a name that you choose for every track), which means you can be as anonymous as you like. Registration for an account is recommended but not required, you can install and track without any signup. Your email address (if registered) is never visible to anyone.
Tracks are by default public which means they will be listed on locatoweb.com and in the app for others to see. But you can at any time toggle a track to be private. This means that only the ones knowing the map-link or user accounts specified will see your private tracks listed in the app. Both private and public tracks can be shared on social media, sent via messenger, email, SMS etc.
The app comes with several map types, including satellite and topographic which makes it great for navigation. Waypoints can be added and displayed on the map (GPX) if you want to pre-load a route. It’s also possible to load other tracks into your own map while tracking.
Photos taken in the app will show on the map and can be viewed by others. Messages can be sent and received when the track is running.
When using the app to view other tracks you can pin your own position and see where you are relative to the track you are viewing.

The app uses the GPS to get position data and use the data connection (4G/5G/Wi-Fi) to send and receive data.
LocaToWeb can be used professionally or for business purposes, but then a PRO account or Business Account is required!
