描述
The RapidID application uses those barcodes for scanning and capturing connections as well as verifying and finding cable locations.
The RapidID app is used with a Bluetooth® scanner to scan the barcodes into files that can be uploaded for you to keep track of network connections in your data center. Panduit recommended scanners include a “clip” to make scanning the correct cable easy. However, the app will work with most Bluetooth® Low Energy scanners.
The RapidID application ensures scanning can be done for long periods by minimizing battery usage on the phone and scanner. The full experience is realized using the app with an iPad, but all features are available on the iPhone as well.
RapidID provides many features. We suggest starting with these core features.
* Match - to identify the opposite end of a cable.
* Capture - to catalog and audit cable connections in a wired system.
* Search - to find a connection within the captured data.
* File - to manage your RapidID data in files.
Full details for operation are included on the comprehensive help screen.
Use the Test function to determine if your scanner is working properly.
Use notes to record details about each cable.
Use search to find a barcode and its connected port(s).
A RapidID data file holds/persists a session's data from the time of save.
Export and Import RapidID data files to share CSV data with other devices running RapidID, backup data.
