Simple JSON Widget turns your endpoints into a glanceable widget—perfect for developers, makers, dashboards, and status checks.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Monitor service status or uptime from a JSON endpoint
• Track numbers (builds, queue size, balances, sensors, IoT)
• Create a lightweight home-screen dashboard for any public API
FEATURES
• Multiple URLs: add as many JSON/REST API endpoints as you like
• Per-URL auto-refresh: set minutes (0 = manual from the app)
• Swipe between endpoints right on the widget
• Pretty formatting: indentation, subtle color accents, date/time parsing
• Adjustable length: choose how many lines the widget should show
• Reorder & delete: manage your list with simple controls
• Caching: shows the last successful response if you’re offline
• Material look: clean, compact, and readable on any screen size
HOW IT WORKS
Add a URL (HTTP/HTTPS) that returns JSON.
Set an optional refresh interval.
Place the widget on your home screen and resize as you like.
Swipe left/right to switch endpoints; use “Refresh all” in the app for instant updates.
PRIVACY & PERMISSIONS
• No sign-in—your data stays under your control.
• Requests are made from your device to the URLs you configure.
• Network and alarm permissions are used for fetching and scheduled refreshes.
NOTES & TIPS
• Designed for public GET endpoints that return JSON.
• Large or deeply nested JSON is formatted and truncated to your chosen line limit for readability.
• If your API needs custom headers or authentication, consider a small proxy that returns the JSON you need
