In the last 10 years, the Teachers' Friend grading scale calculators have been used millions of times on the internet. We are constantly updating and optimising the calculation logic - there is probably hardly anyone who has deeper knowledge about grading scales than we have.
The grading scale app takes this established system to the next level:

Although the operation is conceivably simple (enter maximum score and tap CALCULATE button), there are numerous setting and customisation options, e.g:
- Count half points or half correct answers
- Grading scale for questions
- Errors grading scale (e.g. for vocabulary tests)
- Output as whole, half, third, quarter, tenth grades
- Different grading scales (USA a.o.: A-F or A+/A/A- to F, custom scales can be set, e.g. 100-0, Germany 1-6, Germany upper level 15-0, Switzerland 6-1, Austria 1-5).
- Different calculation logics
- Classical grading scale (linear distribution)
- Base key (defined minimum/maximum limits)
- K1/K2 (German KMK standard, takes into account deviation in some German provinces)
- German CCI/IHK grading scale
- Now also with kink - grade scale (pass mark in %)
