Standing Rigging Sizes
This application is a standing rigging size calculator for historical sailing ship models, based on the Mondfeld method. It calculates rope diameters for standing rigging elements such as shrouds and stays using mast diameter as the primary input. The calculations follow proportional coefficients defined in Mondfeld reference tables, commonly applied in traditional ship modeling. The tool is intended for ship models representing sailing vessels from the Age of Sail, covering the period from the 16th to the 19th century. It is suitable for caravels, galleons, frigates, ships of the line, and other classic square-rigged ships.
