L’utilizzo dell’App è rivolto a pescatori sportivi, canoisti, bikers, appassionati di trekking e a tutti gli altri frequentatori dei fiumi che intendono contribuire al miglioramento della qualità ambientale dei corsi d’acqua. Il censimento delle opere presenti negli alvei fluviali riguarda prevalentemente i fiumi della Regione Umbria, ma può anche essere esteso ad altre realtà italiane. I dati serviranno a delineare un quadro completo della frammentazione fluviale presente, con lo scopo di contribuire alla realizzazione di un piano di ripristino progressivo della continuità fluviale nel reticolo idrografico dell’Umbria, riducendo uno dei principali fattori di impatto sulla fauna acquatica e migliorando lo stato di conservazione delle specie ittiche autoctone.
