描述
Το νησί της Ίου είναι στενά συνδεδεμένο με την παιδική μου ηλικία. Έχοντας καταγωγή από αυτό (από την πλευρά της μητέρας μου), το επισκέπτομαι κάθε καλοκαίρι από τότε που μπορώ να θυμηθώ τον εαυτό μου. Οι παππούδες και οι υπόλοιποι συγγενείς μου κατοικούν στο νησί και ασχολούνται με διάφορα τουριστικά επαγγέλματα Η αγάπη μου προς αυτούς και ιδιαίτερα προς τη γιαγιά μου, η οποία απεβίωσε πριν μερικά χρόνια, αποτελούσε τη σειρήνα που με έλκυε κάθε καλοκαίρι στο νησί, ανεξάρτητα από τις υποχρεώσεις μου. Τη θέση της γιαγιάς μου, πήρε η σύζυγος μου, την οποία γνώρισα σε ένα από τα ταξίδια μου στο νησί και έκτοτε εξακολουθώ να το επισκέπτομαι ακόμα πιο τακτικά.
