الوصف
Incluye la herramienta Próxima Hora, de predicción meteorológica a muy corto plazo (nowcasting), que ofrece predicción de precipitaciones en intervalos de diez minutos durante la hora siguiente.
Las predicciones de los primeros cuatro días están elaboradas con el modelo numérico WRF (anidado a salida de las 12:00UTC del modelo GFS) con una resolución espacial de 8 km.
De los días quinto a décimo desde la fecha de consulta, la app ofrece predicciones enmarcadas en un rango de incertidumbre, con datos relativos exclusivamente a temperatura y precipitaciones, provenientes del Global Ensemble Forecasting System (GEFS).
Además, se muestran predicciones para las siguientes variables meteorológicas: temperatura, precipitación, dirección y velocidad del viento y humedad. También incluye información sobre las horas del alba y el ocaso, la fase lunar y las mareas.
La predicción es de carácter general y no aplica técnicas de corrección a la salida del modelo, salvo una corrección sencilla de la topografía. Por lo tanto, pueden existir sesgos sistemáticos en algunas localizaciones, especialmente en zonas de orografía compleja. Asimismo, es importante tener en cuenta que la predicción de algunos fenómenos es intrínsecamente incierta. Por ejemplo, no es posible acertar la hora y el lugar en el que descargarán las tormentas de verano.
Para ilustrar la precisión y limitaciones de una predicción con esta resolución, se mantiene el apartado de validación que, usando la red de observaciones de AEMET, permite comparar la predicción de los últimos días con los datos observados. Esta evaluación es una opción no disponible en otras aplicaciones similares.
