Description
Reminiscent of the techno-thrillers of the 1980s, in the opening stages of WARNO’sWorld War III in Europe, the Warsaw Pact plans a spectacular airborne coup de main against the French strategic nuclear missile silos of Base Aérienne 200 on Plateau d'Albion. This is the inspiration for Nemesis: Plateau d'Albion, in which both featured divisions are equipped and manned for a ferocious fight that is not meant to last longer than 20 minutes.
The Warsaw Pact’s 76th Guards Airborne Divisionand its specially equipped air assault troops have the advantage of surprise, long-range air support, and offensive firepower.
So, too, can the NATO’s 152e Division d’Infanteriefield enough weaponry, specialized and reservist infantry, and call in air power to mount a spirited defense.

French 152e Division d’Infanterie
NATO’s French 152e Division d’Infanterieis a reserve division with versatile infantry, heavy air support, and an array of specialized troops and units. With the defense of Base Aérienne 200 being of the utmost importance, RESERVISTEwill do the bulk of the fighting, backed by new units such as MARSOUINSnaval infantry, heavy-duty GENDARMES DE L’AIRairfield security combat squads, COMMANDOS DE L’AIRspecial forces, and VIBAPCs. Other new units include AML-90light tanks, RES. EBR 90armored cars, TRM-10000 LOGheavy supply trucks, M201jeeps including command version, CERBEREtwin 20mm guns and CROTALESAM systems, and ECUREUIL, ALOUETTE SS-11, and ALOUETTE II PCrotorcraft. The French Armée de l’Air can scramble not only ALPHA JET Ein support but also older FOUGA MAGISTER, CM.170 MAGISTER, and CRUSADERfighters. French Aéronavale Naval Aviation brings even more air power to bear with older CRUSADERfighters and SUPER ETENDARDstrike fighters.
76th Guards Airborne Division
The daring Warsaw Pact’s Soviet 76th Guards Airborne Divisioncounts on a high proportion of its troops going to battle with light but advanced equipment. The VDV fighting forces are made up of BMD-borne DESANTNIKIand large DESANT. USILENNIEcombined squads, with the brand-new BMD-3acting as a light airborne tank. Other new units include DESANT. LuAZ SNAB.and DESANT. GAZ-66B SNABsupply trucks, the DESANT. LuAZ-967M KOM.command unit, LuAZ 2F62 ZENITCHIKAA unit and DESANT. GAZ-66B ZU-23-2with its twin guns. Recon is provided by SCHMEL-1unarmed UAVs, elite DESANT. SPETSRAZVEDKAscouts supported in the field by RAZV. BTR-D. The Soviet Air Forces provide long-range aviation support in the form of newly equipped SU-24M, including one variant with thermobaric bombs, and MIG-31fighter.
