Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned Sudokuist, our six modes of difficulty ensure players of all abilities can join in the fun.
The “Easy” and “Casual” levels allow 6 or 5 mistakes, respectively, giving you plenty of room for trial and error while getting to grips with the rules. Meanwhile, those with prior experience but are a little out of practice, as well as experienced players who aren’t yet ready to join the big leagues, can opt for “Medium” or “Hard” difficulty.
Those up for the challenge can take on the “Expert” and “Impossible Levels”. The latter has just 5-15% of cells filled, and doesn’t allow for a single mistake. Suitable for the most savvy and experienced players, these top two levels are the ultimate way to test out your Sudoku skills.

Start Your Sudoku Journey
Our first two levels are perfect for players starting out on their Sudoku journey. Designed specifically for beginners, the “Easy” level pre-fills at least 30-40% of cells before the game starts. In reality, many puzzles actually begin with even more than this filled in, so you only need to figure out the last few remaining figures.
With half the puzzle already completed and room for more mistakes than you can count on one hand, there’s no better way to learn Sudoku than playing our “Easy” level. We want to help every player enhance their skills, which is why we offer gaming statistics, instructions and tips, personal ratings, feedback and support.
Challenge Yourself with Advanced Puzzles
If you find yourself quickly completing the easier levels and are looking for a challenge, why not try out some of our harder puzzles? Ranging from “Medium” to “Impossible”, these increasingly tricky Sudokus will really put your skills (and patience) to the test. The levels are as follows:
Medium - 3 mistakes, 20-30% of cells are filled;
Hard - 2 mistakes, 15-25% of cells are filled;
Expert - 10-20% of cells are filled;
Impossible - 0 mistakes, 5-15% of cells are filled.
Though each “Impossible” game ends after your first mistake, the fun doesn’t really stop there. We don’t put a limit on the number of free Sudoku games you can play in a day, so you can get back up and try again as many times as you’d like.
