Circuit Lines Nest Cycle is a strategic game where players compete to create stable directed cycles on a 6×6 grid. Each turn, players place arrows pointing in one of eight directions (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW) into empty cells, connecting the centers of these cells. The objective is to form closed loops, or oriented cycles, which capture the inner cells as territory.
A key gameplay element is how intersecting flows cancel out segments when their edges cross outside nodes, affecting the cycles. Each player can also adjust one previously placed arrow once per game, rotating it to change their strategy. The match lasts up to 24 moves total, and winning depends on forming three stable cycles or having superior territory and points at the end.
Scoring awards +2 points for every stable cycle, +1 point for every three cells captured within cycles, and +1 for controlling the center cell at position (3,3) inside a player’s cycle. Two-cell loops count as cycles but do not provide territory. A cycle is stable if none of its segments are canceled by the time the opponent’s turn begins.
Circuit Lines Nest Cycle includes multiple modes: Practice allows playing against AI on Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulties; Local Duel supports two players sharing one device; Puzzles challenge players to build cycles in a limited number of moves or break down opponents’ loops; Blitz mode pressures players with just 10 seconds per turn and a total of 16 moves.
With its unique mechanics of building directed graphs and managing arrow orientations, this game offers deep strategic play.
