Key elements include Gates that open and close to redirect balls, Guides providing short directional segments, and Tilt Planks with adjustable angles that influence ball movement. Magnets attract certain balls within a specific radius and strength, while Splitters and Spouts divide ball streams into multiple paths. Timers act as triggers that change element states over time, and optional Portals teleport balls across the scene. Advanced puzzles introduce Merge Nodes to combine several balls into composite units, adding depth and complexity.
Players build and customize levels in Edit Mode by dragging, placing, and configuring elements such as tilt, magnet force, or valve timing. Long taps open detailed controls like rotation and strength, and double taps return elements to the toolbar. The user interface offers Undo, Reset, and Hint buttons to optimize gameplay and assist problem-solving.
Winning each level requires all balls to reach their matching receivers based on color and type. Additional challenges include limits on the number of placed elements, time restrictions, and “clean” solutions without errors. The hint system highlights promising placement spots, while an AI-powered AutoSolve option shows minimal necessary steps for learning purposes at a penalty.
Orb Puzzle Sphere Lab also features a Level Generator with the GuaranteedSort algorithm, ensuring every created level has a unique, solvable sequence.
