描述
Vector Hive Encounter is a strategic board game where players compete to score more points within 20 moves or win early by eliminating all opposing pieces. The game takes place on a 5×5 grid, with each cell acting as a node where players place their markers—type A or B. The edges serve as boundaries, and any piece pushed beyond the edge is removed from play and counted toward the player's score.
Each turn begins when a player places a marker on an empty cell. This triggers a local reaction simulation within a radius of one cell. Pieces of the same type repel each other, causing adjacent markers to shift one space along a straight line away from the placed piece. Pieces of different types attract, pulling the nearest opposing piece closer if the path is clear.
The order of these movements is deterministic. Axis-aligned reactions (up, down, left, right) happen first, followed by diagonal reactions. In case of conflicting forces, priority goes to the stronger connection based on a predefined weight system. This ensures consistent and strategic gameplay without randomness.
Pieces pushed off the board are removed and score points for the player. Each turn, players also gain +1 energy, with additional bonuses awarded for knocking out opponent pieces.
Vector Hive Encounter offers a unique mix of attraction and repulsion mechanics that create dynamic and tactical gameplay. Players must carefully plan their moves to control the board, balance offense and defense, and anticipate chain reactions. The fast pace and compact board make every decision impactful, rewarding skill and strategy.
