Chessmatemon is easy and fun to play for beginners and kids. This iOS app allows children to learn all the basics of chess step-by-step by solving chess puzzles while rebuilding an ancient city of Chessmatemon. The entertaining plot of the game makes learning chess basics, strategy and tactics fun, exciting and seamless.
Learning strategy in a fun way
This iOS app was carefully designed to teach kids from the beginner level.
All levels in the game are organized from basic to advanced, with detailed animated explanations of core chess concepts, followed by carefully chosen puzzles to make the theme sink in.
Chessmatemon allows kids to study chess in an independent way, learning the following important concepts: setting up the chess board, how chess pieces move, the value of each piece, captures, basic and advanced tactics, checks and mates, various tactical and strategic concepts such as: pin, fork, piece overloading, distraction, zugzwang, domination, discovered check and many more.
The app also has a “play against a computer” module - so children can test their progress. The computer’s level of play is weak enough so that the child can start beating the computer very soon, receiving positive feedback.
All the chess learning is done while going through an adventure in a unique universe, helping ancient Egyptian princes to rebuild their kingdom of Chessmatemon puzzle-by-puzzle, level-by-level.

How to play?

Our puzzles offer children to play for both black and white sides, so they get used to playing both sides from the very beginning.

How many pawns are needed to balance a knight? Whether two rooks are more or less valuable than a queen? And so on…
