Analysing information in this sound-only app requires attentive listening: an essential life-skill for some, and of benefit to all students. In addition, this app supports the development of independent learning skills, and offers a wide range of learning opportunities within the STEAM education curriculum – including for students who are blind or visually impaired.
World-wide, sonification is increasingly being applied in science (particularly astronomy), technology and the arts. There’s growing awareness about its opportunities for accessibility, inclusiveness, and multisensory learning.
This app was developed with support from South Pacific Educators in Vision Impairment (SPEVI Inc). Brought to you by multi-award-winning developers Sonokids, creators of educational apps like best-selling 'Ballyland: CosmoBally in Space' and 'Ballyland Magic Plus'.
