Description
Xamarin Forms is one technology that's intended to fulfill that dream. It allows you to write your app using .NET, and run it natively on all mobile operating systems. However, as it's based on the lowest common denominator between different platforms, it's quite limited in many aspects and is only recommended for prototype apps, and basic data-driven apps (for internal use) that don't need a custom design.
