Muziek luisteren en liedjes zingen is voor jonge kinderen één van de populairste vrijetijdsactiviteiten. Naast ontspanning en plezier is het ook een belangrijk deel van de ontwikkeling van spraak en taal, motoriek (klappen, bewegingspelletjes, dansen), geheugen en de concentratie (onthouden van woordjes en melodieën).
