Description
O “MIMepe – Metodologias de Intervenção em Matosinhos – Educação Pré-escolar” tem como objetivo a promoção de competências de literacia emergente junto das crianças que frequentam a educação pré-escolar. Nesta faixa etária, é fundamental proporcionar às crianças oportunidades de leitura de histórias, da descoberta de novas palavras e dos sons que as constituem, bem como de contacto com material impresso diversificado. Estas experiências devem ocorrer de forma quotidiana nos diferentes contextos da criança, isto é, quer na escola, quer no seio familiar, desencadeando um efeito multiplicador e consistente nas aprendizagens. Espera-se, igualmente, que a promoção de competências em idade pré-escolar seja efetuada de forma lúdica, despertando a curiosidade e entusiasmo das crianças, e assegurando o desenvolvimento de expectativas positivas face à aprendizagem formal da leitura e da escrita. Por outro lado, o MIMepe não tem como finalidade antecipar o ensino da leitura e da escrita do 1.º ano do 1.º ciclo do ensino básico, mas sim desenvolver conhecimentos e competências que são facilitadoras da aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita.
O MIMepe sustenta a sua metodologia na literatura especializada que evidencia, precisamente, a importância de trabalhar deliberada e sistematicamente as dimensões da linguagem oral, consciência fonológica e os conceitos sobre a escrita, na medida em que se tratam de precursores fundamentais na aprendizagem formal da leitura e da escrita. A investigação científica e a divulgação de resultados evidenciaram o MIMepe como uma boa prática educativa, que tem vindo a ser partilhada em congressos e seminários e disseminada por vários agrupamentos de escolas por todo o país com resultados semelhantes.
Esta plataforma pretende ser um instrumento de trabalho para educadores de infância e para a família, que contribua, de forma lúdica e apelativa, para o desenvolvimento das crianças e que constitua um ponto de partida para a exploração de novas histórias.
Através de um projeto comum entre a Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos, a Rede de Bibliotecas Escolares e a Universidade do Minho – Escola de Psicologia e Instituto de Educação, foi igualmente construído o JIL – Jogos Interativos de Leitura, que se trata de uma plataforma online, acessível e gratuita e inclui oito histórias, da autoria de Luísa Ducla Soares, apresentadas em formato áudio, e um conjunto de jogos digitais. O JIL (http://jil.miew.pt/) é um recurso para os pais e um guia para a leitura de outros livros. Os diferentes jogos propostos podem ser adaptados a outros contos.
