Nous proposons également plusieurs visites thématiques : de l’architecture du bâtiment aux vi-sites spécialisées pour tous les âges.
Dès l’été 2021, arpentez le Vieux-Saint-Laurent avec l’application MUMAQ afin de découvrir les trésors cachés des environs du musée. La visite « Le Vieux-Saint-Laurent, autrement » pro-pose un parcours patrimonial du quartier. Son histoire se dévoilera devant vos yeux, en harmonie avec votre balade. Vous y trouverez également des vidéos de résident.e.s qui partageront leur expérience de cet arrondissement au parcours unique.
Le MUMAQ est une passerelle entre les communautés, les époques, les cultures, et surtout les savoir-faire des artistes et des artisans des métiers d’arts. Un dialogue inédit qui renforce les liens humains et enrichit notre culture collective. L’institution conserve et valorise une riche collection liée à l’artisanat et aux métiers d’art, anciens comme contemporains. Des pièces uniques, réalisées majoritairement au Québec.
Lieu de diffusion et d’expositions thématiques, pôle d’activités culturelles et éducatives pour des publics variés, le MUMAQ offre aux professionnels et artisans un espace de rayonnement. Une mine de référencement et de recherche inépuisable. Une expérience, elle aussi, unique.
Et l’Histoire fait bien les choses : le musée est situé dans un bâtiment emblématique du Québec : une église dont la construction originale fut réalisée par des artisans d’ici.
