Learning Chinese characters is easy when you follow the right method:
【 1. Start with Basic Characters 】
- Characters such as 口，曰，日，月，耳 are easily confused when you're starting out so you should learn to differentiate them
【 2. Learn Related Characters Together 】
- Around 80% of characters are created by combining a base character for the sound with radicals related to the meaning. This makes them easy to learn as a group. For example:
* 方/fāng - a square; direction; place; side
* 坊/fāng - neighbourhood, urban subdivision
* 芳/fāng - fragrant; virtuous; beautiful

- Some characters aren't related but are easily confused by foreign learners. Studying them together makes this less confusing. For example:
* 常/cháng - common, normal
* 裳/cháng - clothes; skirt; beautiful
* 赏/shǎng - a reward; to appreciate
* 党/dǎng - a political party
* 堂/táng - a hall
* 棠/táng - crab apple tree; wild plums
