The app allows readers of the exhibition catalogues as well as visitors of the exhibitions of SKIRA, a Milan based publishing firm, to receive more information about artists and their masterpieces. Integrated in the app, an augmented reality (AR) function serves to expand the exhibition and its catalogue offering additional multimedia content. By opening the AR function, the camera is activated. The visitor simply points the camera at images of the exhibition. As soon as the camera detects the image an augmented content is displayed. Thus, the visitor discovers additional information during their visit. In the same way, the reader of the catalogue revisits from home parts of the exhibition and discovers new content using the app in combination with the catalogue.
By opening the app, the user can also choose between different subject categories and deepen their knowledge about the associated subject.
