Speedy Subtraction is a fast-paced subtraction test app with three levels. In just minutes of practice daily, your child will master each level and their mental maths skills will soar.
Fast and accurate manipulation of simple numbers is an essential building-block of maths confidence.
The BEGINNER level speed-tests recall of number bonds to 10 (e.g. 30 - 6, 70 - 3, 20 – 8) … master this level and your child will power through the sums faster than you ever thought possible.
Next, the INTERMEDIATE level breaks 10s and offers any 2-digit number minus a single digit (e.g. 41 – 3, 20 – 5, 53 - 9).
Finally, the ADVANCED level offers random 2-digit minus 2-digit numbers. In this level, appearing on the scoreboard is a challenge in itself.
Your child needs to spend only moments playing this game and mental maths skills will soar.
What is Griffin Teaching?
Speed Subtraction is one of two maths apps developed by Griffin Teaching, a tutoring company based in the South East of England which specialises in 11+ test preparation. Since opening in 2011, thousands of Griffin Teaching graduates have passed the 11+, winning places at top independent schools in the UK and super-selective grammar schools.
Griffin Teaching runs a year-long 11+ preparation programme for year 5 students, a series of mock exams for the Kent Test and other 11+ exams, and an online writing programme for children ages 6 to 16.
All our programmes are taught by qualified teachers with years of in-class experience. Our programmes follow an exclusive curriculum developed in-house by experts in 11+ entrance exams and the GCSE English exam.
