Die Funktionsweise dieses Veranschaulichungswerkzeuges ist am realen Zehnerfeld, Zwanzigerfeld, Hunderterfeld und Tausenderbuch orientiert. Außerdem ist ein Zahlenstrahl / Zahlenlinie integriert.
Zahlenfeld kann als universelle Veranschaulichungs- und Verstehenshilfe genutzt werden um Kinder dabei zu unterstützen, den Zusammenhang zwischen Zahlen, Stellenwerten und Mengen zu verstehen. Alle Zahlen bzw. Mengen bis 1000 können gelegt werden und dabei individuelle Farben für Einer, Zehner und Hunderter vergeben werden. Dabei kann interaktiv entdeckt werden, wie sich die Zahlen verändern durch Hinzufügen oder Entfernen von virtuellen Wendeplättchen in Zehner- oder Einerportionen. Die Menge, die zugehörige Zahl oder eine Zahldarstellung als Zahlenlinie ist immer direkt miteinander verknüpft.
Das Arbeitsmittel ist deshalb besonders für Kinder mit Rechenschwierigkeiten (Rechenschwäche, Dyskalkulie) als Werkzeug für die Unterstützung bei der Förderung oder bei Hausaufgaben geeignet, da es dabei helfen kann, Vorstellungen und Zusammenhänge über das Zahlsystem zu entwickeln. Dieses Verständnis ist die Grundlage für die Entwicklung eines Zahlenverständnisses, auf der viele weiterführende Inhalte des Mathematikunterrichts aufbauen.
Zahlenfeld eignet sich hervorragend als ergänzendes Lehrmittel und sollte zusammen mit sinnvollen und anregenden Aufgabenstellungen verwendet werden. Es ist besonders wirksam, wenn Kinder bereits handelnde Erfahrungen mit Mengen und Zahlen gemacht haben.
Beispiele für Aufgabenstellungen:
- Lege die Zahl X mit möglichst wenigen Klicks und nutze dazu die Bündelungen (z.B. 5 Plättchen gleichzeitig legen).
- Wie musst du die Zahl X verändern, damit Zahl Y entsteht?
- Was passiert mit den Einern, wenn du zur Zahl 58 eine Fünferportion dazulegst? Warum ist aus den 8 Einern nun 3 Einer geworden? Was ist mit den restlichen zehn Einern passiert?
- Blitzblickübung: Nenne zu einer gelegten Menge schnell die entsprechende Zahlziffer. Die Zahl kann dazu abgedeckt werden.
- Finde heraus (durch Ausprobieren), welche wiederkehrende Handlung einer operativen Zahlenreihe (z.B. 12, 22, 32, 42, …) zugrunde liegt.
