Metaballs
Metaballs were one of the first ways to model truly organic shapes in computer graphics, and now you can experience them in real-time, spatial 3D! Fuse together different blobby primitives and play with different materials. Unlock additional primitives, materials, and the ability to export your geometry with in-app purchase of Metaballs+ subscription.

By the creator of Vibescape, Metaballs: Spatial was born out of a desire to create a hands-on modeling experience to take full advantage of visionOS 26's amazing new manipulation gestures. It's super fun to reach out and grab the shapes, and see the metaballs mesh smoothly update in real-time; something truly only possible on this platform!

Free to play around with, subscription to unlock full feature-set (and support the development of these indie products!) And by popular demand, we've now included a one-time, life-time unlock in-app purchase!

Now supports USDZ export so you can view your models in XR as well as use them in other digital content creation apps, as well as STL export for 3D printing applications.

  • • You can now easily rotate your scene with the new potter's wheel!

    This was a highly requested feature. Now you don't have to walk to the other side of a model, just spin the wheel! This makes it a lot easier to create more interesting models.

    • Selections are now visualized, making them easier to work with.

    In version 1 it wasn't always easy to know which metaball you selected. Now it's clear. Also, it just looks really cool to see a selection like this in 3D :)

    • Changes to a selected metaball's strength from the materials panel are now visualized.

    In previous versions it wasn't very clear what the strength (aka influence) slider does exactly. Now when you drag the slider, the influence of the metaball is very clearly visualized.

    • Gallery page got some design improvements.

    And now when you save scenes to your gallery, their previews will include color & materials!
