Wheels For Recovery (WFR) Program:
WFR is a specialized mobile transportation service that extends support to individuals facing Substance Use Disorders. Our dedicated team offers rides to critical appointments, including medical visits, hospitals, pharmacies, social services, correctional facilities, housing assistance, food banks, and job-related commitments. WFR isn't just about transportation; it's a comprehensive service providing referrals, conversations, moral support, and advocacy, depending on the appointment. WFR enhances appointment attendance, fosters client engagement, and retention in care, helping clients meet their goals and obligations. It also reduces the strain on our healthcare system by minimizing ambulance use and directing people to primary care physicians instead of emergency departments. Missed appointments, contributing to extended wait times, are significantly reduced, promoting overall well-being and recovery.
