- Critical bug fixes
• Fixed an issue where previously seen or liked/disliked articles could reappear after refresh. The feed now consistently excludes viewed/liked/disliked items and clears session cache on refresh to show the latest content.
• Major image loading and caching improvements: images persist when swiping, redundant reloads are prevented, and the app preloads upcoming items for faster scrolling and lower data usage. Disk cache capacity increased.
• Profile image upload: all user-facing error messages are now in English (“Failed to select image”, “Failed to upload profile image”).
• Resolved a crash that could occur when saving article edits, with better error handling and clearer messages.
• Fixed view counters not updating. Views are batched and de-duplicated with a short cooldown to avoid inflated counts.
Feature enhancements
• Infinite swipe is smoother with larger initial and incremental loads plus smarter preloading.
• Interaction stats are now consistent when changing a reaction (e.g., like → dislike). Caching has a sensible TTL and can be cleared when needed.
• Admin-only analytics dashboards were improved (real-time content and user stats, error/bug reports, top active users). These tools are not visible to end users.
Security & reliability
• Strengthened access controls and server-side validation for interaction records and content statistics.
• Metrics updates are restricted to authenticated users, with improved logging and auditing for failures.
iOS-specific fixes
• Addressed a memory-protection error observed on recent iOS betas.
• Improved build stability by resolving occasional build database lock issues.
• Reduced release build size by removing debug artifacts (approx. 66.9 MB).
Architecture & performance
• New services for interactions and article metrics provide background batching, idempotent updates, retries, and better resilience under poor networks.
• The feed provider now injects these services, clears interaction cache on refresh, and auto-filters content based on user interactions for a more relevant feed.
Monitoring
• Enhanced real-time error and bug tracking, with prioritized filtering and richer diagnostics to speed up issue resolution.
