Am 15. April 2014 hat die Schweiz das Übereinkommen über die Rechte von Menschen mit Behinderungen (BRK) vom 13. Dezember 2006 ratifiziert. Sie untermauerte damit ihren Willen, alles in ihrer Macht Stehende zu tun, um die Chancengleichheit zu fördern und jede Form von Diskriminierung in der Gesellschaft zu verhindern. Wo stehen wir zehn Jahre später? Stimmt es, dass alle über die BRK reden, aber niemand sie in die Tat umsetzt? Wie und in welchem Umfang ist die Schweiz dieser Verpflichtung nachgekommen? Was muss noch umgesetzt werden, um diese Rechte zu verwirklichen?
An diesem Kongress ziehen wir Bilanz und befassen uns mit Zukunftsperspektiven. Wir legen den Fokus dabei auf vier Schwerpunkte: 1) die Perspektive des Rechts und dessen Umsetzung 2) die Perspektive der Bildung, Chancengerechtigkeit und Verteilung von Ressourcen 3) die Perspektive von Institutionen und deren good practices, um die Selbstbestimmung Betroffener zu unterstützen, sowie 4) die Perspektive der Betroffenen und ihre Mitwirkung auf allen Ebenen.
