Description
— That Unprocessed Look —
On all iPhones, Unpro uses a custom RAW rendering pipeline to automatically deliver gorgeous photos with range, contrast, and minimal sharpening and local tone mapping. iPhone Pro models additionally have the option to capture ProRAW, going through a separate, dedicated process to make the most of the format’s high dynamic range and produce images that look pretty much like what you see with your eyes. Other iPhones can use the “deprocessed” capture mode to take standard captures and apply desharpening and reverse tone mapping, carefully calibrated to result in smoother images with rolled-off HDR highlights.
You get this without needing to juggle and edit RAW files — point and shoot, tasteful results. But if you like, you can save RAW files alongside your JPEGs for greater flexibility in editing later.
— Introducing RAW + ProRAW —
Unpro Camera now has an experimental capture mode: RAW + ProRAW (or RAW + Deprocessed on non-Pro iPhone models). In this mode, you can capture a RAW and then a ProRAW photo in rapid succession, capturing a scene in two ways, giving you the freedom to choose your favorite later.
— Stylish Retro UI —
Unpro adopts a skeuomorphic design philosophy inspired by DSLRs. The key is buttons that don’t move around, so they’re quick to access no matter what the state of the camera or the orientation of your device.
— Photo Filters —
Unpro comes with three unique photo filters. The camera adjusts exposure on a per-filter basis, and you can see previews of the filters in real-time in the viewfinder.
— Tasteful HDR —
Unpro saves photos in the widely compatible Adaptive HDR JPEG format, giving you increased contrast on compatible devices. But it also rolls off HDR highlights, aiming for photos where the HDR enhances rather than irritates.
— Naturalistic Selfies —
With support for the front camera, get photos of yourself that don't emphasize your pores and facial hair — but without filters that make you look like plastic.
— No AI —
I’m too lazy to figure out how to incorporate AI into Unpro, but even if I weren’t, I wouldn’t want to.
